Amanda Carrick born in Adelaide, South Australia.I have loved painting as early as primary school.
After extensive travel and living in Brussels, Belgium, I continued to paint with my mother under the instruction of well known artist Ruth Tuck until moving to Queensland for a number of years.
I discovered the 'art' of landscape design during the construction boom in Queensland which was a very happy extension to my art.
My family and I finally settled in Melbourne Victoria.
After doing a Iniversity of Melbourne landscape Design course and Instant turf instruction at StrathAyr Seymour my career became 'living Art'.
A true extension of painting on canvas.
After years of landscaping I have returned to my love of painting and have exhibited in galleries in Sorrento, Victoria, Chapel off Chapel in Prahran,Melbourne, many art shows in and around Victoria and Robe and Victor Harbor in South Australia and I continue to exhibit around the country.
After returning from a private concentrated French painting workshop with Pessimier in and around Paris, I am back in the studio and also painting plein air as done in France.
My style is Impressionist Abstract and contemporary realism which is passionate, free and colourful. I also paint pets and portraits in the same fun style.
painting enhances my life on every level always thrilled to take on any artistic challenge. |
